Glideascope

This website is a showcase for the musician, producer and composer Glideascope.  His music is difficult to categorise but is a soundclash of cinematic classical strings, tinged with dub electronica and a backdrop of world music influence.

His emotionally charged and distinctive sounds have graced documentaries on MTV, Channel 4, E4 and More4 in the UK, and placement on chill out compilations such as "The Beginner's guide to Buddha Lounge".

Glideascope has released several recordings, including his debut album "Audio Cinematography" which was released to rave reviews from the specialist and mainstream press - including an album of the year nomination by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio One.

Glideascope's live highlights have included performances at Pacha / Ibiza, Cargo and Ministry of Sound / London and MIDEM, Cannes.

Audio Cinematography

"Audio Cinematography" the album: in a sense these are documentaries. Screenplays that can only be experienced in audio form. Viewings where one can only listen, soundtracks for movies never to be made. I know that audio is such as important part of our lives, but it isn't just about waveforms. Even when we silently read or write, we "hear" the words...

Big Big Disgrace EP

"Big Big Disgrace EP" featuring the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, with vocals by Junior Ruff and Hannah Cleone. Remixes by Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In Da Attic), DJ Parker, Mafia & Fluxy and Glideascope.

"With Strings Attached EP" was originally recorded in 1999/2000 and released in December 2003. Inspired by my travels from Vietnam though China, Mongolia, Russia and Eastern Europe. A Trip-Hop backdrop, influenced by adventure.
